Deborah Crewe biography
Deborah Crewe grew up in Colchester, Essex. She studied Politics, Philosophy and Economics at University College, Oxford, and international relations at Harvard. She has an MBA from London Business School.
Deborah was until recently a senior civil servant, providing policy advice to Ministers in the Cabinet Office, the Home Office and the Ministry of Justice. She is therefore highly experienced in writing in official-ese, politician-ese and business-speak, though she is looking to expand her range of styles.
Deborah lives in London with her husband and three young daughters.
How I Found the Agency
My brother works in publishing. When I mentioned I was thinking of trying to become a ghostwriter, this brother had lots of useful advice for me. He also directed me towards Andrew’s website (which I loved) and somehow strong-armed Andrew into letting me approach him. Andrew was enthusiastic, encouraging, realistic and knowledgeable. He sent me away with a long “to-do” list. Once I had a fully worked up proposal, it was to Andrew that I wanted to send it.
