Dominic Selwood biography
Dominic’s main obsessions have always been the murkier and less well-known aspects of history and western religions.
His first book, Knights of the Cloister, is a standard university textbook on the enigmatic Knights Templar.
He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, has a degree in English and French law from Cardiff and Poitiers universities, a masters in Byzantine and Christian history from the Sorbonne, and a doctorate in medieval history from New College, Oxford.
He writes before the family wakes up, and after they have gone to bed. His other interests include playing pointy guitars, fiddling with valve amplifiers, and collecting old records.
He lives in the Middle East with his wife and two children.
How I Found the Agency
I found the Andrew Lownie Literary Agency’s website on the internet, and was quickly struck by two compelling features: the treasury of free advice, and the statement that the agency is always looking for new authors. Andrew's swift response to my first e-mail immediately demonstrated how proactive and engaged Andrew is in helping authors. I have been delighted with the whole process.
