Emma Donnan biography
Emma Donnan is a journalist who specialises in showbiz news, and is using the skills and contacts from her work to turn her hand to ghostwriting, particularly for celebrities from popular culture.
Emma is currently Assistant Editor at Star magazine and OK! Hotstars.
Her career as a journalist began as a news reporter on The Uxbridge Gazette ten years ago, before she took a year out to live in France. On her return she worked as a freelance journalist, covering everything from court reporting, to red carpet events, to news reports.
She became a showbiz gossip columnist for News of the World in 2005 and then The People, where she was a finalist in showbiz journalist of the year at the Britsh Press Awards. During this time she has interviewed and written stories on stars ranging from A Listers such as Michael Jackson and Brad Pitt, to those from more popular culture such as Jordan, and stars from The Only Way is Essex and Big Brother.
Emma grew up in Buckinghamshire, and did a degree in English and American Studies at Birmingham University. But it was three years ago that Emma was first published as part of a book called Best Day Of My Life and got a taste for biography writing.
She is currently writing a book with Sam Faiers from TV show The Only Way Is Essex, due for release in the Spring, with further projects in the pipeline.

How I Found the Agency
I contacted various agents through The Writers and Publishers Yearbook, and got on well with Andrew on the phone. An evening in his office exchanging ideas over a bottle of wine sealed the deal! Since then his dogged determination to get the best deal every time, as well as his availability on the end of the phone at all hours, has made me sure it was the right choice.
