Sally Floyd biography

Sally was born on 3rd January 1955 and lived in West Sussex all her life until June 2008, when she moved to London. The move has been both challenging and life changing. For the first time in her life Sally has taken time out to reflect on what has gone before and what she wants for the future.  She spends her time walking with her dog Boris, reading, writing and getting used to busy London life. Sally is committed to turning her life around and would like to get involved in advocacy in order to help others have a voice and be heard.

Sally took early retirement in September 2006 due to ill health. She had previously qualified and worked protecting children living away from home. She is still a Magistrate but has not sat on the bench since her breakdown in 2006. Sally has two children, Guy  and Tania  and a grand-daughter Page who lives in East Berlin and spends her school holidays with her ‘Grammy’.

How I Found the Agency

Initially when I decided to write about my life and publish it, the idea was that it was just for my children and me to read. I thought it might help us to understand more fully what had occurred in my life and ultimately theirs. I didn’t know how to get a book published and scanned the net coming across various websites and seeing the words ‘Literary Agent’ on a number of occasions. I didn’t for one moment believe my life events would be of interest to a literary agent, but came across ‘The Andrew Lownie Agency’. I decided to contact Andrew because the website was easy to negotiate, the information comprehensive, and Andrew looked nice, approachable, open and friendly. Andrew replied to my email very quickly and the rest is history so they say……………………………..
