Shaun Walker biography
Shaun Walker is the Moscow Correspondent of The Independent and a contributing editor of Monocle magazine. He has lived in Moscow for five years and travelled the length and breadth of the former Soviet Union, reporting from across Russia, the Caucasus and Central Asia. He is a fluent Russian speaker and received a first-class degree in Russian and Soviet History from Oxford University. He is 27 and this will be his first book.

How I Found the Agency
I was browsing the internet for agents and came across Andrew Lownie's useful and informative site. I signed up to his newsletters, which I found interesting and helpful, and a year later when I was ready to send out my proposal, he was the first agent I sent it to. He responded promptly and within a couple of weeks I was signed up.
