Embracing Failure

We tend to see divorce as a blemish, a rip in the fabric of how things should be, rather than part of the tapestry, part of what happens with interwoven lives: sometimes they go wrong in ways which couldn’t have been foreseen, could not have been prevented and which can’t be ignored. Instead of running away, passing judgment or wringing our hands, perhaps we need to move closer and embrace divorce for what we can learn from it.

This book is a collection of first person stories, some as snapshots, and some as detailed journeys: people who’ve been through a huge life-changing experience, talking honestly to other people feeling lost in a similar landscape.

You won’t find advice here, but you will find a route to your own way forward based on reflections on the ways relationships can go wrong, and some hard-won wisdom on how we might make even the bad times better.
