David Hasselhoff biography

David Hasselhoff is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as The Most Watched TV Star in the World, thanks to starring roles in Knight Rider and Baywatch. His first professional job came playing Dr. Snapper Foster in the CBS soap opera, The Young and the Restless.

He has also appeared in feature films, including The Cartier Affair, The Legacy, Final Alliance, Dodgeball and the 2004 smash-hit The SpongeBob Square Pants Movie which took $30 million in its first US weekend. Hasselhoff is currently developing the feature film of his ever-popular Knight Ride.

As a singer, Hasselhoff’s first album, Looking for Freedom, went triple platinum in Europe and Hasselhoff was named Most Popular and Best Selling Artist of the Year in Germany. He sang “Looking for Freedom” from atop the Berlin Wall during the German reunification celebrations. His most recent album is David Hasselhoff Sings America. His concerts play to standing ­room-only audiences throughout the world and he has released six other albums in Europe which have all gone platinum and gold.

Hasselhoff realised a 40-year dream when he made his Broadway debut in the musical Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical which was filmed in High Definition for worldwide distribution. Most recently he starred in Chicago in London’s West End to rave reviews as Billy Flynn. Hasselhoff lives in Southern California with his wife, actress Pamela Bach, and two daughters, Taylor-Ann and Hayley.
