Christopher Othen was born in 1971 and studied Linguistics & Literature at university, later returning to do post graduate study in Law.
Christopher has worked as a journalist, musician, and legal representative for asylum seekers. In his last job he shared an office with an Afghan exile who was probably telling the truth when he claimed to have shaken hands with Osama Bin Laden.
Christopher now lives in East London. He has previously been based in Brighton, Amsterdam and Oakland, California.
In May 2007 Ediciones Destino published LAS BRIGADAS INTERNACIONALES DE FRANCO, a Spanish language edition of his first book, GENERAL FRANCO’S INTERNATIONAL BRIGADES: FOREIGN VOLUNTEERS AND FASCIST DICTATORS IN THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR 1936-39.
