Deaths of two authors

I’m sorry to report the death of agency author Philip Walker. His first and only book Behind the Lawrence Legend: the Forgotten Few Who Shaped the Arab Revolt rewrote the story of TE Lawrence and the Arab Revolt by looking at a dozen British officers instrumental in its success.

Sadly former Guardian journalist, novelist and crime writer Duncan Campbell has also just died. Campbell was legendary for his incisive reporting of many of the best known crime stories of the last four decades.

Both men were in their seventies.
