CBS Reality – Saturday 19 November 10pm – The Day I Should Have Died

Author Amanda Wright’s incredible story of survival is told in compelling detail this Sunday when CBS Reality airs an hour long documentary about how John Dickinson strangled her mother and then came after four-year-old Amanda. He lay their lifeless bodies on the bed side by side then set fire to the house before fleeing the scene of the crime.

For the first time on TV, this shocking murder is examined through the testimony of those who were witnesses to what happened and its terrible aftermath. It is based on Amanda’s heartbreaking memoir Without a Mother’s Love, co-written with Katy Weitz, which was published by Blake this year and can be ordered through Amazon.
