Paul Flitcroft, director of Fundraising and Marketing said the appointment reflected Rachel’s work in raising awareness about the reality of mental illness and helping to combat stigma for those who suffer depression and other mental health conditions. Rachel said: "I have long been a supporter of SANE’s outstanding work, especially the services it provides for those who are fighting mental illness such as its fantastic advice Hotline. Its Black Dog campaign in particular has made a real difference to how we now understand depression and has done much to raise awareness of this debilitating illness."
