Nicola Stow is a best-selling ghostwriter of three books, including international bestseller Cabin Fever: The Sizzling Secrets of a Virgin Air Hostess, which has generated over 600 reviews on Amazon and was shortlisted for the People’s Book Prize in 2015.
Charting Mandy Smith’s career at Virgin Atlantic, Cabin Fever became a global sensation when it launched in 2014, with Mandy’s exploits making headlines in titles such as The Sun, Mail Online, New York Post, Vanity Fair, Mirror, Metro, Express and a double-page spread in Cosmopolitan (UK). Cabin Fever was also named Book of the Month by Cosmo Book Club in the magazine’s Australian edition, while National Geographic (US) described Cabin Fever as “a fizzy summer cocktail of far-flung travel and high-flying gossip”.
Nicola also co-authored Born Gangster, the memoir of South London gangster Jimmy Tippett Jnr, which reached # 1 in Amazon's Mafia and Organised Crime category. Her third book, Jetstream Girl: Secrets of a Private Flight Attendant, with Saskia Swann, will be published by Endeavour in 2020.
Nicola has been a journalist for 20 years covering news, features and investigations. She has written for several national publications and websites including The Sun, Sun Online, Daily Mail (Scotland) Sunday Mail, Sunday Post, Times, the former News of the World and women’s magazines Take a Break and That’s Life. In addition to working on exclusive stories with the families of serial killer Peter Tobin’s victims, she has also exposed drug gangs, paedophile rings and went undercover to reveal HBOS bankers enjoying a £300,000 junket at the height of the financial crisis in 2008.
